Senckenberg Museum
Another institution that benefits from our corporate citizenship activities is the Senckenberg museum in Frankfurt, one of the foremost natural history museums in the world. BHF-BANK supports this museum in acquiring new exhibits, and has traditionally enjoyed very close relations with the Senckenberg Nature Research Society.The Senckenberg Nature Research Society is the parent organisation of the research institute and the natural history museum in Frankfurt am Main. By combining top international research and a unique natural history museum, the Senckenberg Nature Research Society puts the idea of closely linking education, science and culture into practice.
The "Freundeskreis Senckenberg" (Circle of Friends) is dedicated to attracting an increasing number of visitors to the natural history museum. The funds it generates are used to acquire new and valuable exhibits or finance exciting exhibitions and events.
Dietmar Schmid, former member of the Board of Managing Directors of BHF-BANK, is Chairman of the Senckenberg Nature Research Society.
